The 2017 Keith Sherin Global Leaders spent the month of June taking Spanish language classes, visiting cities and sites in Spain, and navigating their host culture. During their program in Salamanca, which was co-sponsored by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and Travel & Education, the 15 TRIO college students attended courses offered by the University of Salamanca and engaged in various cultural activities, including visits to Madrid and the medieval cities of Segovia and Avila.
